A Study On The Numeral-Classifier Compound In The Ancient Language

Numeral-classifier compound is one of important characteristics in the Sino-Tibetan. From the pre-Qin to the Qing Dynasty, basically its' location is the back or the front of the Noun. Only the distinction between them is that the former is the more before the Qin-Han Dynasty and the latter is the more from ancient time nearest the present.On the basis of the description about Numeral-classifier compound's integrated mode in the chief stages and with the pragmatic theory, the author consider that the Numeral-classifier compound is the focus in the sentence, analyses the prosperous reason of the form of "Numeral + Classifier +Noun"( )and the common prosperous reason with "Noun + Numeral +Classifier"( ), summarizes all of the functions on the semantic meaning and sentence structure in the Ancient Language.The dissertation consists of four parts.
