Wu Jun is a poet with strong personality in Qi and Liang Dynasties, when literature gained its independence. In his poetry, both the common feature of his contemporaries and his own personality, valued to be "as lofty and upright as that of classical poems". The mixed characteristics made his poetry not only accepted by his contemporaries but also be particular amid his times, and known as Wu Jun Style. Why is his poetry so particular, so attractive? What factors has influenced it? What special status does it hold? All the above questions are worthy of studying. But the achievements and meaning of Wu Jun Style still haven't been fully assessed. His poetry aroused either no attention or unfair comment. Till now, he is so rarely mentioned in most literature history and academic studies that we are not familiar with his style. Here the study of Wu Jun Style is to set new theoretic and practical meaning on ancient literature of Chinese. The author is going to analyze the social background of Wu Jun, and its influence to Wu Jun 's poems, and analyze the theme, genre, form, meanings of his poems, and discovering the connection among Wu Jun Style and Yongming Style and Court Style. In this paper the reasons why it is widely followed are interpreted by analyzing Imitation of Wu Jun Style,and so as to set forth a definition to Wu Jun Style. so as to recognize the importance of Wu Jun Style. By studying the literature history and the social background, the author is trying to analyze his poetry completely and in detail, so as to give an objective and full comment.
