Content.As the first famous work of Chinese historiography, Zuo Zhuan (Zuo Qiu-ming's Spring and Autumn Annals) has great value both on historiography and literature. Its experiences of creative ideas, describing figures and wars, writing down diplomatic speeches are referred by the later literary works. The thesis attempts to discuss that Three States Historical Novel inherits and develops the viewpoints of talented persons, the strategies of wars and the ways of describing wars of Zuo Zhuan. The thesis includes three parts. In the introduction, the thesis discusses and analyzes the current situation of the study in Zuo Zhuan, and reveals the reason and significance of writing the thesis. In chapter I, the thesis expounds the viewpoints of talented persons of Zuo Zhuan and its affection on Three States Historical Novel. In chapter II, the thesis expounds the strategies of wars of Zmo Zhuan and its affection on Three States Historical Novel. In chapter III, the thesis expounds the ways of describing wars of Zuo Zhuan and its affection on Three States Historical Novel. Then, in the conclusion, the thesis summarizes how Three States Historical Novel inherits and develops the creative methods of Zuo Zhuan.
