In China, popular novels became more and more prosperous and flourish from sixteen century to eighteen century. The essay is to outline the whole women's features during this period, and open out the historic transformation of the women's image. In the detailed research, the essay will divide this period into three parts: sixteen century, the end of the Ming Dynasty, the beginning of the Qing Dynasty. At the same time, we will clean up the different women's styles and features in the different periods basing on the large amount of novel texts and taking representational novels as the main clue. Compared one with another, the women's images began to close the center step by step.The essay is divided into six parts. The first chapter is the foreword. In the second chapter we will look back to the female cultures and the female images before sixteen century, meanwhile the essay displays the changes at the two centuries later.In the third chapter we can see the female images were contorted in the men's view. In the forth chapter we will discuss how the women in popular novels were awakening from the end of the Ming Dynasty to the beginning of the Qing Dynasties. In the fifth chapter we can find the women have revolted the traditional female culture. The sixth chapter is the conclusion.
