This thesis concentrates on the special insurance of Szechwan. That is the salt transportation insurance. Szechwan is the biggest salt industry province in the west of China. Szechwan salt not only supplies the Szechwan province but also sales to other provinces. All the salt transportation relies on the wooden ships. So the ship wreck often happened. For reducing the loss the salt transportation insurance appeared in the 1930.The salt transportation insurance was monopoly by the salt industry bank of Szechwan insurance department until the 1942. In the period of Anti-Japanese war many insurance companies moved Chongqing from the coastal provinces. The salt industry bank of Szechwan insurance department had to accept insurance together with China insurance company pacific insurance company central trust bureau and Yuguo insurance company. The four three three system had come into being. After Anti-Japanese war the four three three system was over. All of the insurance companies could accept insurance uncontrolled. But vicious inflation had made the economy go to the edge of collapse. With the great efforts the salt insurance company of Szechwan could not made the salt transportation insurance approach the resplendence.Although the salt transportation insurance existed only 20 years butthe salt industry bank of Szechwan had taken many effectively measures to ensure safety of the salt transportation. The bank founded the check stations along the river. At the every dangerous shoal there were the insurance department sailors to help the salt ship crossing the dangerous area. The salt transportation insurance had performed the important function to promote the development of Szechwan salt industry, ensure the people need of living and support the war financial during the Anti-Japanese war.
