Difficult Position And Moral Ideal

The dissertation deems that the study on the creation psychology of "Northern" type dramatists in Yuan Dynasty is limited by lots of factors due to the lack of biographies about dramatists in Yuan Dynasty. As a result, this dissertation hope s to explore t he creation psychology of the "Northern" type dramatists through the new visual angle that comparative study on the images of the evil women and the virtuous w omen and tries to approach the difficult position faced to the dramatists as well as their moral ideal generating from it.The dissertation is composed of three chapters as follows:In the first chapter, it analyzes respectively the classifications and manifestations of the images of the evil women and the virtuous women in the "Northern" type dramas. It explains how the images of the evil women and the virtuous women become two kinds of morality symbols. Consequently, the former symbolizes the creators of disorder, violators of morality, seizers of wealth, slayers of life while the latter represents the safeguards of order, constructors of morality.In the second chapter, it explores the profound connotation stemming from these two kinds of images by analyzing the models during the process of creation . It thinks that the images of the evil women signify the difficult position faced to the dramatists while the images of the virtuous women mean the ardent ideal of the dramatists.In the third chapter , through explaining the weakened male-roles and meaningful endings, the dissertation expounds the traits of creation psychology that dramatis ts displayin the dilemma between the difficult position and moral ideal: weakened psychologies such as unbosoming, seeking help, bragging are tangled with moral pursuits such as moralizing themselves, seeking righteous imperial-authority, regressing to tradition.
