The Research Of Chinese Possible Structure

Chinese possible structure includes two kinds, one is possible complement, another is the structure relate to modal verb. In this dissertation possible structure specializes "V 得/不 C", the structure relate to modal verb specializes "不/能VC". Apart form, "能v得C" is also under the study.In this dissertation , we utilize the theory of Three Plants to the research of Chinese possible structure, and do my best to find the identis and difference of possible complement and the structure relate to modal verb on syntactic feature semantic feature and pragmatic function.This dissertation is divided four chapters.The first chapter is introduction. We make an approximate comb to predecessors' research accomplishment.The second chapter has compared the postitive of Chinese possible structure, namely "V得C" "能VC" and "能v得C". On syntactic feathers, we inspect the three patterns structural features, the function of holding the position of syntactic complement the function of taking adverbial and the patterns' juxtaposition. On semantic feather, we inspect the three patterns semantic character, semantic direction and semantic limitied condition of entering patterns.On pragmatic selection, we inspect the three patterns' focus and their choices to sentence class .The second chapter has compared the negative of Chinese possible structure, namely "V不C" and "不能VC" .On syntactic feathers, we inspect the two patterns structural features , the function of holding the position of syntactic complement the function of taking adverbial and patterns' juxtaposition. On semantic feathers, we inspect the two patterns semantics character, semantic direction and semantic limitied condition of enteringpatterns. On pragmatic selections, we inspect the two patterns' focus and their choices to sentence class.The fourth chapter has sum up the identis and difference of Chinese two possible structure, on syntactic feature semantic feature and pragmatic function, and pointed out the necessity of the further research of Chinese possible structure.
