It seems to the writer of this essay that consciously developing readership awareness is a must in prose writing for children. First it should be realized that children can be at different stages of development: infants, children below ten and teenagers. Different angles should be adopted in creation based on the ages of target readers. For infants and younger children, the author should narrate from 'children's own perspective' in view of their aesthetic perception and its improvement which can be realized by seeking beauty and seeking children's honesty and taste. For teenagers, however, the author ought to speak from an 'adult's perspective' to achieve communication as equals. Such communication can be carried out through 'explicit dialogue' or by 'implicit dialogue'. Prose for children has its own characteristics and a great potential for development which is decided by young readers' demand.
