The Non-Christian Movement from 1922-1927, in which the CCP participated and played a leading role, was an anti-imperialist and patriotic movement. The author considered that this movement not only enlightened the consciousness of the students, but also extended the influence of the CCP. The Chinese Communists in the early period criticized the fundamental dogmas of the Christian religion and its theory of "saving the nation through selfhood ", and revealed its aggressive character.View the matter from the national standpoint ,the Kuomintang and the Youth Party ,to some extent ,gave tacit consent to the Movement .In order to safeguard their dominate to the country as well as the profits of imperialist power ,local warlord governments resist the Movement unanimously .On the effect of the Movement, the foreign church and the missionary changed the fashion of their missionary work . They commenced supporting the innovation in Chinese church . In the drive of patriotism ,Chinese church took the initiative to abrogate unequal treaties actively and started to strive for self-control church as well as to explore a new way for evangelize.The author discussed religious conception of Chenduxiu, Lidazhaoand Yundaiying. Although Chenduxiu's attitude toward Christian was alternated twice, but it didn't affect his standpoint of atheism. According to Marxism, Lidazhao analysized the origion of religion. During the movement, Lidazhao put forword his point of "truth replace religion", and because the use of materialism, he was an completely atheist and revolutionary. Yundaiying take part in the movement actively and became a leader . During the movement , he realized religion deeply, and established his stand of anti-religion. He upheld unity firmly and was against the culture invasion by Christian thoroughly. His attitude concentrately embodied the proletariat view of religion.The Non-Christian Movement provided an opportunity for Marxism. As guiding ideology of the Chinese Communists, Marxism was widely spread in the movement. Certainly, then, the Chinese Communists had some limitations in the course of the movement, but they summarized the experiences and lessons soon and gained more profound knowledge about the Christian religion.
