Study On The Novels Which Describe A Love Story Between Li Longji And Yang Yuhuan, Written In The Tang And Song Dynasty

As its object of study, this paper takes 72 collected novels, written in the Tang or Song Dynasty (including the Five Dynasties), which describe a love story between Li Longji and Yang Yuhuan. On the one hand, by analyzing the changes in the character images and writing trends from these novels, the author attempts to reveal the differences in the age and culture background between the Tang and Song Dynasty. A special chapter about love concepts is set up serving for such a purpose. On the other hand, since different novels in different times showed different narrative patterns, the author tries to find the evolution tracks of novel form and novel style in the Tang and Song Dynasty.
