Analysis On The Phenomenon Of Criticism Of The "battle" In Depression

This dissertation studies a typical case that Luling's nouvelle, the "battle" in depression, was praised at first and criticized later in the history of Chinese literary criticism in 20( century. The thesis analyses all the aspects of this criticism completely, including the course, the content, the cause of formation, the pattern and character of the criticism, the psychology of the critics and the influence, and points out the relation to the literary of the Great Cultural Revolutionary.The thesis consists of five parts: first, it clarifies the historical course of criticism. Second, it analyses the main aspects of the criticism and its cause of formation, such as "love" theme, character and social effect. Third, it concludes the systematized criticism pattern from the visual angle of sociology and communication, which consists of the "united- front-criticism", the large crowd-criticism, controlling media; then, it dissects the style of criticism theses. Fourth, it analyses the minds of the critics and divides them into four kinds. At last, it sums up the profound influence of this criticism on theme of novel, character, method of writing and pattern of criticism, and considers that this criticism is a typical case of the literary being deformed completely by the ideology.
