Bioethics was introduced into China in the early 80's of 20th century. After then, it has been constantly developing and significantly progressing. However, as a new and introduced body of science, it accepted too many theories and methods from western countries especially America. This results in unfavorable influence on the development of bioethics in China. The influence is mainly displayed in two aspects: one is that it hinders the nativilization of the subject and application of the theory in our country; the other is that it weakens the foundation of communication of bioethics with foreign countries. The over-acception of American bioethics theories and methods leads to ignoring differences of bioethics between China and America. Therefore, the two countries' dialogue about bioethics becomes monologue. Only distinguishing these differences can we strengthen the dialogue in this field. On this basis my study is carried out. This study compares the historical and current situation of Chinese and American bioethics from three perspectives: the backgrounds, the origin oftheories, the ethical decisions. By the above study I clarify the generality and difference between Chinese and American bioethics, and put forward some ideas about the nativilization of bioethics in China, which include "a transition" -. "a reform" and "an assimilation" to develop our native scicetific system of bioethics. At the same time, we should also strengthen the professional construction of the subject team and take various measures in research to the further development of bioethics in China.
