A Tentative Analysis Of Running Trust As On Experiment In 1960s

Running trust as an experiment(RTE) is an important exploration of using the organization of trust to manage enterprises in order to reform China' s mdustrial economic management structure during the period of the national economy readjustment in 1960s. It is a valuable practice to use the economic methods to manage the economy as well as it is the first exploration to set up modern enterprise system since establishing P. R. China. This thesis tries to make a historical investigation and comment of the RTE from the aspects of its background, its triggers, its process and its successes and failures. Furthermore, this thesis also tries to draw the lessons and experiences from the RTE for today' s economic construction.The main body of this thesis consists of three parts.In part one, the author makes a detailed analysis of the background and the triggers of advancing the tentative idea of setting up trust and putting it into practice. It is a historical necessity of running up trust as an experiment. There is a close relationship between setting up trust and the situation of China' s politics and economy at that time. (1) Setting up trust is the result of learning and making use of other countries' advanced experiences of management and administration. (2) Lu Shao-qi' s advocacy is another important reason of putting the tentative idea of setting up trust into practice. (3) Setting up trust is also the objective and necessary demand of the development of China' s industrial economy and the whole nation' s economy in 1960s.11In part two, the author investigates the histoncal process of the RTE. The process of the RTE consists of three phases: (1) the phase of brewing and preliniinarily testing; (2) the phase of setting up trust in a large area; (3) the end of the RTh.In part three, the author gives a comment on the successes and failures of the RTE. The RTE is a valuable reform and practice of China' s industnal economic management structure. At the same time, the work of setting up trust also has some historical limitations under the circumstance of sticking to the planned economy.In the end of this thesis, the author draws some conclusions through retrospection and reflection in order to provide the economic construction of today with some useftil enlightenment.
