| The gist Through the systematic analysis of instrumentalism outlook on truth and by the comparison of this theory with Marxism outlook on truth, this thesis will profoundly expose the essence of instrumentalism outlook on truth and in the meantime comprehensively expounds the scientificness of Marxism outlook on truth. Centered on this gist, three parts will be carried forward step by step. I .By briefly reviewing studies carried out by both Chinese and foreign theoreticians, the focus of this thesis will be highlighted. 2.This thesis reveals the similarities and differences among Pearson抯 practicalism outlook on truth, James抯 Pragmatism outlook on truth and Dewey抯 instrumentalism outlook on truth. It also makes clear the development logic of Dewey抯 theory and the internal relationships between this theory and his another theory on empirio-naturalism. And then, it systematically analyzes the ontology basis and the logic formation of Dewey抯 instrumentalism outlook on truth. 3.From the angle of view on the relationships between practice and truth, between values and truth, as well as between absolute truth and relative truth, the thesis comprehensively expounds and proves the foundational differences between Marxism outlook on truth and instrumentalism outlook on truth.
