Based on th6 texs of Ten ChaiCa Chinese Comedies, the thesis is an atteInPt toinvestigate and evaluate the stereotwical pattem and aesthetic value of classicalMse comedies. Part m is a research into the artiniccreation of comedies and their distinctive naional featUrs by anaomizing the mode ofplOts of the classical Chinese comedies. Part IV mainly examines the fictitious aspectof comedy connicts and the aestheic value of dishannnious strUCtUr. In theconcluding part, the author points out that the constituional facors in comdywt, such as modes of chareders, develoPment of plots and comedy coallictseXert a comPrehensive rmuence on the aesthetic effect of comedies.
