During recent years, the phenomennon of unnature death gradually has become one of the most important social issues. The total of students'unnature death has been increasing and causes more psychologists to fouse on this issue.This paper starts with some real cases of college students'unnature death on campus, which fully demonstrates the importance and urgency for mental health psychologists to prevent and intervene with students'unnature death.In order to prevent and intervene with college students'unnature death, this paper classifies the students'unnature death into different groups based on their distinguished features, which provide necessary basis for subsequent intervention.University students think there are three different kinds of unnature death, according to a survey on college students'cognition on unnature death. These three categories are suicide, homicide and accidental death.Based on interviews, college student's cognition of unnature death and existing research result, a intervention mechanisms were developed to prevent unnature death, and The practice has shown that this mechanism is effective. One practical intervention mechanism has been developed especially to prevent unnature death caused mainly by psychological problems. Meanwhile, this research also conducts in-depth research of five students with suicidal tendency from Tianjin University. Individual interviews, Social Support Rating Scales(SSRS) , Eysenck Personality Inventory Scale (EPQ), and Depression Rating Scale (SDS) has been used to measure their social support conditions, personality, and the degree of depression. The results show that all these five students belongs to introverted personality. To varying degrees, they all have less emotional support, depression symptoms and suicide tendency. By using four methods, conducting individual interview in the consulting center, arranging conversations to school counselor and class commissars in charge of mental heath, and teaching roommate to offer emotional support, this five students have shown obvious improvement in a series of criteria.In this paper, questionnaires, scales, individual interviews have been used to study prevention and intervention mechanisms for college students'unnature death to improve the theories of mental health education, and this mechanisms will guide the work of mental health education to reduce and avoid the unnature death of students, ensure that students'life at school is safe and healthy, build harmonious campus.
