Comparison Of Russian And Chinese: Retrospect And Prospect

Contrast is a basic method of language study. The characteristics of a language can be more clearly and more easily to be undstand.only by comparison with other languages. By comparing, we can more clearly understand the characteristics of the language that being compared, so as to promote the comparison of language and contrast study. Since Whorf was first proposed the term "comparative linguistics" in 1941s, today, comparative linguistics is already an important branch of linguistics.Comparison of russian and chinese has a long history in China's comparison of chinese and foreign languages study. Since the early days of the the 50's, 20th century, comparison of russian and chinese on the rise in China and had already achieved some results. Although the process of it's development there have been some ups and downs, but because of chinese scholars have tirelessly to promote the exploration of this area, the study was always advancing forward orderly. Into the 21st century, the communication and the contact between China and Russia developing very fast, and the comparison of russian and chinese now usher in a new period of development. This paper reviews and statistics the progress of the comparison of Russian and Chinese since 50's, 20th century, development, research methods and principles of research results in all directions, and the effect to highlight the chinese characteristics, for translation services, and guide teaching, the problems and deficiencies, and make the prospect of future development of the research in this field.
