Study On Yunnan Ethnic Minority Subject Films During The New Period

Films of ethnic minority subject have been played a dispensable role in Chinese movie history, which took heterogeneous and multiple ethnic culture as expressive object. They are not only culture exchange bridges between different ethnic groups but also fundamental prerequisite of harmonious and stable political community and cultural community construction. During the first seventeen years after establishment of new China, Yunnan ethnic minority films left such an indelible mark in Chinese movie history. Since the new period, with the reform of economic system and introduction of foreign blockbuster, Yunnan ethnic minority subject films have developed unsuitably for a time. After entering the new century, its creation and development meet a new life, and present a potential of great revival.
