They are not only culture exchange bridges between different ethnic groups but also fundamental prerequisite of harmonious and stable political community and cultural community construction. There are so many kinds of ethnic groups in Yunnan province, their culture and history interweave closely with each other, which are harmonious yet different, characteristic human landscape has been presented here. Together with location of southwest border,individual landform and charming sight, Yunnan province has occupied an important position of Chinese ethnic minority movies creation. During the first seventeen years after establishment of new China, Yunnan ethnic minority films left such an indelible mark in Chinese movie history. Since the new period, with the reform of economic system and introduction of foreign blockbuster, Yunnan ethnic minority subject films have developed unsuitably for a time. After entering the new century, its creation and development meet a new life, and present a potential of great revival.
