Experimentation and vanguard is the most precious character of Western"little theatre"and also the impulsion of it's occurrence and development. As a drama movement which combine "Artistic revolution" and "Revolutionary art", no matter in drama concept or social consciousness, Little theatre constantly breaking authority and explore new drama activity space.From the essential characteristic of vanguard, this thesis is composed of three sections to discuss the manifestation form of Nan Guo group's Little theatre plays to provide a new angle to the theatre studies of Nan Guo group.In introduction part, confirming the practical value of Nan Guo group's Little theatre plays by Western little theatre's contribution to Chinese modern drama. Learning the significance of research on the basis of summarizeing it's studying status, then primitively introduces the research methods and writing ideas.Text is divided into three parts: first, discussing how Nan Guo group to accept Little theatre and how to establish it's vanguard character. Second, analysing the vanguard character which included: "private education" win over "governmental education", distinctive stagecraft and efforts to pursue "demotic theatre". Third, coming in the text and analyse the unique features of Tian Han's plays: farsighted thought about "conflicts between ideality and reality", the pursuit of the aesthetic esthetics style and the strong spirit of realism. Those thirds explained the vanguard character of Nan Guo group's theatre plays respectively from whole to local.The Conclusion is a general comment on experiences and lessons of Nan Guo group's theatre plays, from it, Contemporary Chinese Little theatre can learn that: the unity of content and form, pay attention to the audience feedback and concern to reality, more significantly, art must remain independent.
