Du Yu's Annotation On Zuo Zhuan And The Compilation Of Chinese Dictionary

Zuo Zhuan is the earliest narrative works and it is the most important works which reflects social living conditions of China's Spring and Autumn period. Du Yu made the Spring and Autumn and Zuo Zhuan together, then note them. So he has written the book Spring and Autumn Annals .Annals is China's earliest extant Zuo Zhuan Note. Also the note of Du Yu is the authority in the study of Zuo Zhuan . So it has a very high value of academic value and corpus. It is valuable information in Chinese History.From the content, it is the note of Zuo Zhuan. Zuo Zhuan mainly records the history of hegemony. Its contents include aspects of social life, such as astronomy, geography, social customs, laws and institutions, morality, myths and legends. Zuo Zhuan owning rich content will determine the breadth of the content of comments. From the type, it is the larger and very representative note book in Wei and Jin Dynasties. The words it used in note can truly reflect the language situation in the extent in Wei and Jin Dynasties. So it has an important lexicographical value.In this paper, Chinese Dictionary as a reference, from the four aspects of Du Note we discuss the value in Dictionary Compilation. Firstly, Chinese Dictionary view Du Yu note as the first example., a total of 90; Secondly, the words in Du note make the example advance, a total of 275; Thirdly, the words in Du note provide the terms that the Chinese Dictionary does not have, a total of 26; Finally, the words in Du note supplement the meanings that the Chinese Dictionary does not have, a total of 10.
