| As a standing-out Chinese writer, Bai Xianyong has a deep affection to traditional Chinese culture, at the same time, he also gets a great understanding of the western one. The youth-oriented version of The Peony Pavilion's succession has given a new life to the old-fashioned and disappearing Kun Opera, which is of inspiring meaning to the traditional culture's modern transmission. This paper, taking Youyuan Jingmeng and the youth-oriented version of The Peony Pavilion as the text, discusses Bai Xianyong how to start his Kun Opera's road firstly, then through text analysis and comparative study, Expounds the Kun Opera's influence on the novel Youyuan Jingmeng's rhythm and theme, and finally analyzes the adaptation of the new Mudan Ting and the technique of expression used in morden drama.By the research of Bai's road towards Kunqu, we can analysis the interaction relationship between traditional and modern during the Bai Xianyong's writing. Meanwhile, we can recognize his achievement in the renewed application of classicality basing on traditional culture. These may contribute to exploring the possibilities of the transfer and transmission of our tradition culture in the morden context. |
