Zhu Xi On The Relationship Between Holy Ritual And Principle

This paper takes "Zhu Zi Yu Lei", "the Four Books"as the text and historical materials, supplemented by "Mr. Zhu Wengong Huian Collection", "family ritual", "Rites general solution"and"The Four Books Q & A"and letters, essays. This paper's main method is interpretation through the text, combined the thought of holy ritual with Zhu Xi's Neo-Confucianism system. On the one hand, this is a whole show of a complete theory of holy ritual, revealing which of the "Principle"character; On the other hand, from the ritual this paper takes a overlook back to Zhu Xi's whole idea, seeks to understand Zhu Xi in the holy ritual perspective, discusses the interaction between holy ritual and principle.This paper is divided into six parts, the preamble and one, two, three, four, five chapters. The first chapter is to explain the principles of etiquette with a principal Summary, systematically explained the background of Zhu Zi's holy ritual thought, the process of Song Confucianism "explain the holy ritual with principles ", and outlines the definition of Zhu Xi's holy ritual:a detailed description of the principles, the rules of daily behavior. Finally, this chapter described the highest philosophy category "principle " from three levels:ontological idealist, value ontology, practice and cultivation, and pave the way for the following relationship between principles and holy ritual. The second, third and fourth chapters, mainly from three aspects of principal to elaborate ritual.They are humanity benevolence, respect. The relationship between the ritual and the principal is analysised layer by layer, reflected in the uniform of holy ritual and principal.
