This paper tries to explore the effect of imagist poets, Ezra Pound and T·S·Eliot, on the creation of Chinese new poetry under the doxologie influence. Both Pound and Eliot were influential poets in 20th century in Britain and the United States. As the founder and leader at the earliest stage of modernist movement, Pound launched the imagist poetry movement advocating the use of concrete images to present the beauty of poetry. He influenced the winner of Noble prize for literature Eliot. In the 20th century, influenced by the western literature innovation, new poetry in China is a practice in the May 4th new literature movement. Pound & Eliot's work and imagism affected prominent Chinese poets such as HU Shi, WEN Yi Duo, BIAN Zhi Ling and YUAN Ke Jia of that time. Therefore , it is necessary to have a systematic analysis on this. Analysis on its effects is of great significance for the development of the interaction of Chinese and Western literature.The paper consists of four parts. The first part deals with the concrete relationship between Chinese poetry and western poetry from the point view of imagism,Pound's poetry has received the Chinese classic poems influence .The second part concerns the influence exerted on Eliot by the imagist poet Ezra Pound. The third part explains how chronologically Chinese poetry schools, like the New Moon, Modern Style and 9-leave, were somewhat affected. The fourth part summarize Pound , Eliot and Chinese new poetry influence its revelation to us . At the interaction of Chinese and Western literature, achieve the common prosperity of the national literature under the globalization. The method used is a study of comparative literature influence with a research of supporting facts, to find the influence of imagist poets on Chinese new poetry.
