The purpose of this thesis is to research changes of attributive markers "zhi,di,de" from two perspectives of syntactic distributions and functions in synchronic and diachronic.It adopts the method of quantitative analysis to list the inheritance relationship of attributive markers systematically and distinguish new forms of attributive markers during their inheritance. It also explains the reasons of the changes of this phenomenon both from outside and inside primarily.This thesis consists of 7 chapters.Chapter1:Introduction.It mainly introduces the object, significance, present situations, method of this research and the scope of the corpus.Chapter2 compares the differences of syntactic distributions and functions of two attributive markers "zhi" and "de" to list the inheritance relationship of attributive markers systematically.Chapter3 analyzes the origin and functions of the first attributive marker "zhi".Chapter4 analyzes the origin and functions of the new attributive marker "di"in Tang and Wu Dai dynasty and compares the occurrence frequency of "zhi" and "di" during the time.Chapter5 analyses the functions of "di" in Song and Yuan dynasty, describes the occurrence of new attributive marker "de" and compares occurrence frequency of "di", "de" and "zhi" during the time.Chapter6 analyses the functions of "de" in Ming and Qing dynasty and compares the occurrence frequency of "zhi" and "de".Chapter7 explains the reasons of the change of attributive markers primarily,summarizes the main ideas of this thesis and its deficiencies.
