The paper chooses Gothic War as main entry point to analysis the merits and demerits of his life, character, and outcome, while discuss the relationship and affect between he and Gothic War each other, and answer the question of turning point in his life. All is in order to give some reference for future research. The main content is:Introduction introduces topics based on the academic sense, domestic and international research profile and status, research and innovation points. Chapter I describes the time when Belisarius lived in and the macro background of Byzantine empire in the eve of Gothic War, the military situation, the Byzantine national will and strategic intent at home and abroad throughout, in particular representatives of Byzantine emperor Justinian I. Then it gives a brief analysis of Belisarius's early life and his military career. This is not only the content of Gothic War before and after the main line runs through the nexus, but also play a role in bedding. Chapter II describes in detail the surrounding circumstances of Gothic War, and some of the major events such as the Gothic surrender of issues in a more detailed discussion and analysis, and draw objective conclusions, then summarizes Belisarius's military thought and contribution. Chapter III selects the other characters and events about Belisarius, combined with the introduction before mentioned, put it through the entire line of Belisarius's main life course to discuss the macro matter. Strive to achieve hanging together, clearly reproducting the incident and the events, people and characters, cause and effect related between the logical aspects.Ending gives the final conclusion of Belisarius's fate and life character, highlights the importance and special nature of the Gothic war.
