This dissertation is conducted under the theory of the adolescent mental health education, focused on the psychological problems of secondary vocational school students. Utilizing the experience from advanced foreign studies in adolescent mental health education, this dissertation is trying to achieve the objective of making suggestions on mental health intervention which are suitable for the current physical and mental characteristics of secondary vocational school students in China.This dissertation has made systematic research on ways of psychological intervention in the vocational school students, which has four main parts as follows:Chapter 1,2, Introduction. This part mainly introduced significance, methods and contents of this dissertation, which has combed domestic and international research on students'mental health on the basis of reading a large number of domestic and foreign related literatures.Chapter 3, Current situation analysis. In this part, the author summarized the present concerned situation in Shanghai and found that psychological health is a very complicated and dynamic process including some relatively independent characteristics. Through the investigation and interviews on students in the working unit which is a state-level key secondary vocational school, the author has concluded some prevalent psychological health problems:psychological weariness, interpersonal barriers, societal pressure, emotional confusion, and negative emotions.Chapter 4, The cause analysis. On the basis of interviews, the writer has made scientific causes analysis of secondary vocational students'mental health issues and has found many varied factors. However the most prominent ones are societal influences, family environment and teachers' teaching methods, which reflect many contradictions among society, family and the school educational system.Chapter 5, Effective psychological intervention methods. From the personal work experience and analysis of the mental health status of vocational school students, the author presents the following suggestions in relation to counseling students of vocational schools:(a) create psychological files(b) establish a psychology member system(c) conduct group activities(d) provide individual counseling(e) train teachers(f) counsel parentsConclusion:From the whole research point of view, the study adheres to the principles of combinations:theory and practice, qualitative research and quantitative analysis. Through the entry points of the status quo, cause analysis, counter measures, the author has made in-depth psychological analysis of vocational school students.And then from the particular to the general, the author has obtaine conclusions and solutions with universal significance.
