Jin Yi (also known as Zhang Jin Yi) is a famous writer and editor in Chinese modern literary. He has edited "Literary Quarterly" "Harvest" and other ten literary journals. As a writer and editor who grown in the Kuomintang-controlled areas, how to accept the concept of left-wing literature and eventually became part of left-wing literary production mechanism. It's not only related to the turning of the intellectuals, but also involved how left-wing ideology built and successfully generated a literary appeal mechanism during the founding of the country. To this question, the existing research mostly chose literature works as a starting point to analyze the changes of the writers'mind and work style. Compared with the previous studies, this paper which studied Jin Yi's editing activities had a broader view and updated the study space.This paper chose Jin Yi's editing activities during transition period (1940-1950) as example, analyzed the Ta Kung Pao·Art week(1947-1948),China Writers(1947-1948) and the Novel(1950-1952), focus on the editing activities and Jin Yi's friendship situation and try to answer as a writer who grown in 1930's,when he faced the time changes, how Jin Yi progressive accept a new literary ideology; when the new ideology have obtain dominance, how he learned the new literature discourse and ultimately served the new literary production mechanism. This paper try to avoid the simple historical facts piled up and simply restored the history and unearth the working statement and psychological process in the transition state and finally explore the external and internal factors which coursed Jin Yi's "smooth transition" between the old and new era.
