Research Of Classic Enlightenment Books From The Prospective Of Second Language

The regular and rhymed form of classic enlightenment books reflects the features of Chinese language. These books contain traditional Chinese values and they are not difficult for children's primary education. So we think they can be applied for overseas Chinese language teaching.This paper analyzes the possibility and feasibility of classic enlightenment books being applied for overseas Chinese teaching. The first part is the research background which includes the research about overseas Chinese culture teaching and teaching program, research about the modern values of classic enlightenment books, and the use condition of classic enlightenment books in overseas Chinese world. In chapter two we focus on the historical development and content classification of classic enlightenment books, and then we choose appropriate books according to the content classification. The third, forth and fifth chapter separately analyzes the possibility of oversea Chinese teaching form the perspective of language form, features of character and culture selection. In our opinion, classic enlightenment books have excellent pre-requisites to adapt for overseas Chinese teaching, but they need to be cultivated. It means we should choose appropriate books, lower the difficulty of these right books, and select or bowdlerize the culture points.
