In the late 1960s and early 1970s, the thoughts of Christian socialist ideological trend arise in Latin America. The preferential the poor, going into the secularity and practice are the Christian Socialism theoretical straits in Latin America, resulting in a wide range of influences. Christian Socialism advocates that people use Marxist historical materialism to transform Christian theology. It argues that future socialism will replace the capitalist society as the institution option. The Liberation Theology accepts the social practice and the class struggle and revolution of the Marxism, pointing out the forms of the liberation is the historical liberation, and the theme is the poor themselves. By the critique of the capitalism, the liberation theology states its socialism views. however, the liberation theology is based on the idealist conception of history, lacking the thorough liberation. It calls on Christians to participate in the poor liberation struggle, emphasizing liberation practice is as important as the class struggle. After World War Two Latin America appears a new Christian socialist ideology. Under the situation of the mainland revolutionary situation, church group booming of the grassroots, Christian socialist ideology tries to explore how to rescue the poor from exploitation, oppression and alienation. It is a liberation movement or a progressive trend dedicating to mass liberation that stand for the interests of working-class people. Nowadays, the liberation theology is in the backward period, facing all kinds of the challenges. It is the huge issue that is how to reform its theory in the low tide of the revolution so as to adapt to the society development in Latin. Nevertheless, the thoughts of the liberation can provide us the hits and the references, for example, faire and just, care for the mass people in roots and so on.This paper is divided into five chapters; the first part of this paper introduces the purpose and significance of research. The second part states the background, features, and delegate character of liberation theology. The third part analyzes the differences and relations of the essence of Christianity, liberation theology and Marxism. The fourth part is the realization of liberation theology forms and political views, liberation theology prospects and challenges; the influence of international socialist movement. The fifth part is about their inspiration to China.
