This thesis built upon previous scholars' researches, findings and breakthroughes concerning the epigraph of Chenchen He comes up with my own opinions about some words as follows. Words from the epigraph of Chenchen HeFirst, (?) is "Zao',(造),which, translated, means "rise", as opposed to "descend". Second, (?) is "(?),'or''(?)'',as the name of offering sacrifices to gods or ancestors or something. But the word is taken as a verb in the context of the epigraph of Chenchen He. Third, (?) is "Guo''(国), which, translated, means "country". WANGZHI of LIJI noted by Zheng Xuan in Dong Han Dynasty say that"馘或为国",which, translated, means "Guo" (馘)presumably amounts to "Guo''(国).This word is roughly related to"Guo''(馘).ZILIN written by Lv Chen in West Jin Dynasty held that "Guo''(馘) separated from"Guo''(聝). SHUOWENJIEZI written by Xv Shen in Dong Han Dynasty thought that"Jing"(京) is a man-made hill. "Jing"(京), seen through the eyes of persons in Han Dynasty, belongs to a high construction. I inherit Yang Ximei's opinion on"Jing"(京),who is a famous historian. Then I think that"Jing"(京) in West Zhou Dynasty holds a great number of "Guo" (馘) that means heads of prisons from wars. "Guo Jing"(国京)not only is characterized by such punction, but also is a home of spirits in West Zhou Dynasty. "Guo Jing"(国京) lie in eastern "Hao"(镐), which is the capital of West Zhou Dynasty, today near Xian, beside Bi Yong(辟雍).Fourth, (?) is "Shi''(矢),which is borrowed as "Yi"(佚). "Shi Yi"(史佚) in the epigraph of Chenchen He is equavalent to "Shi Yi"(史佚)in the literature handed down prior to Qin Dynasty. Fifth, (?) in Chengzhou(成周)is that sacrifices were offered to gods or ancestors or something according to the rituals of Shang Dynasty, rather than "Yinjian".Sixth, (?) is a kind of drum, used during religious ceremonies.Doubled "Yv"(玉)were thought of as "Zhuyinqi"(助音器), In order to beautify drum's sound.Seventh, (?) is swine's"toe",which means ancient people count animals by the number of toes.Eighth, (?) is a hog, which is used as sacrifices in honor of their forefathers. With aforementioned facets,I further discuss the location of"(?)京", its political punction and the time of Chenchen He.
