Application Of Decorative Art In Fashion Design

Decorating is a kind of skill attached to drawing or sculpture, beautifying the subject. Decorating has many different expressive forms and skills on clothing design, such as plane decorating, three-dimensional decorating. Plane decorating included the application of the patterns and the application of colors;three-dimensional decorating concerned on the skills of reconstructing the materials, such as stacking, plaiting, embroidery, hollowing and cutting to design the fashion.In this paper, we expatiated on the doctrine of the origin of the decoration on clothing, and analyzed the purpose of the decorating on clothing, and summarized the laws of the clothing decoration by inducing the skills on decorating.We studied the application of the decorating on clothing, summarizing the skills, to find the laws and the development direction, to enrich the decorating factors using in fashion design, to inherit the cultural connotations of fashion, and to improve the level of the clothing design.
