Song and Yuan dynasties is an important period for Chinese Phonetics developing from Medieval to Modern Phonetics. The study to Phonetics in this period has definitely great value to the history of chinese Phonetics. And the method to study the rhyming of poetries and verses is one of the important ways to chinese Phonetics research. What we get to know about the real time Phonetics features via studying the rhyme used by Huizhou literati assuredly provides some reference for the history both of the description and construction to Phonetics and the research to chinese dialect. In Song and Yuan dynasties, Hui region has so developed economy and prosperous culture that it makes for plenty of works in various forms and rich contents. This theme induces a rhyme-class system of Huizhou rhyming of poetries and verses in Song and Yuan dynasties via the analysis and connection up all of the 9202 rhyme units, which bases on up to 5287 poetries(including the residual sentences and the united sentences), 370 Ci(a form of classical poetry),473 verses and 2 Sanqu(a type of verse popular in the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, with tonal patterns modelled on tunes drawn from folk music) of 67 Huizhou literati in both of Song and Yuan dynasties. Besides,it makes a detailed analysis for the special Phonetics phenomenon of the rhyming of the time used by Huizhou literati, and then reveals the dialect features of Huizhou phonetics of Song and Yuan dynasties. After comprehensive and systematic analysis,it summarizes 18 rhyme classes in the rhyming system of Huizhou literita of this period as follows: (1) 7 classes of"Yin rhyme": Ge-Ge(歌戈),Jia-Ma(家麻),Yu-Mo(鱼模),You-Hou(尤侯),Jie-Lai(皆来),Zhi-Qi(支齐),Xiao-Hao(萧豪);(2) 7 classes of"Yang rhyme": Zhen-Wen(真文),Han-Shan(寒山),Qin-Xun(侵寻),Tan-Lian(覃廉),Dong-Zhong(东钟),Yang-Tang(阳唐),Qing-Zheng(青蒸);(3) 4 classes of"Ru rhyme": Wu-Zhu(屋烛),Duo-Jiao(铎觉),Xue-Tie(薛帖),De-Ji(德缉)。And we looked from three levels into the special rhyme cases in the rhyming used by Huizhou literita in this period: first, they reflect the emerging trend of the temporal phylum of common language; second, they are the common feature of southern dialects; third, they are special phenomena of Huizhou dialects. Additionally, we also compare the rhyming condition of Huizhou literati in Song and Yuan dynasties from synchronic and diachronic perspectives. The research findings provide some reference value for the phonology of common language in Song and Yuan dynasties, and some dynastic phonology materials for the dialect phonetic history in Huizhou.
