Fukasawa pendant opera is one of special dramas in Hebei Province as well as one of the nationwide rare local operas. It suffers a situation of lacking of successors and being hard to continue, facing with dying out. Excavating, rescuing and protecting pendant Fukasawa pendant opera that has become a top priority.Fukasawa pendant opera became the second batch of "state-level non-material cultural heritage", being identified by the National Ministry of Culture and approved by the State Council on the June 7th, 2008. At present, musicology circles has almost researched it in a blank situation, anyway, I hope this paper be with the value of prophase discussion. I have accomplished this thesis by going deep into Shenze to collect folk songs and materials which includes relevant folk stories and legends, consulting relevant information and materials written by predecessors in library as well as inquiring some datum on Internet. This thesis explores preliminarily the history of Fukasawa pendant opera and singing voice style from the historical development of Fukasawa pendant opera, singing style and its singing voice trait along with its inheriting development these four main characteristics. Full article is divided into five parts besides preface and epilogue.The first part describes the background of Fukasawa pendant opera as well as its art source. Improved make-up pendant drama which includes DuanXiuYing (founder), BaiZhiLan, LuoChunXi, LuoChengFu four senior statesmen has formed into unique Fukasawa pendant opera, giving a detailed introduction of historical development process, which is divided into development of the heyday in the 1950s, re-rising in the late 1970s and early 1980s and entering a boom day with the form of song and dance together in the early 1990s. The second part introduces representative figures through on-the-spot investigation and interviewing old and on-the-job actors. And the third part shows the music form of Fukasama pendant opera also with its singing style. The fourth part analyzes the traditional singing voice, its rhythmic mode, common rhythmical style (Banshi), accompanying music and instruments according to the basic characteristics of Fukasama pendant opera. Common rhythmical styles include Common Rhyme, Sad Rhyme, Lento, Allegro, Parallelism Rhyme, Strong Rhyme, Free Rhyme, etc. Its main accompaniment instrument is Tongban Zhuiqin also with the Erhu, Pipa, dulcimer, Sheng, the cello etc, otherwise, Bangu is as its main percussion. The fifth part which is the last part discusses how to inherit and develop Fukasama pendant opera from the following aspects, protecting the old artist and inheritor, exploring traditional repertoire, and deepening culture institutional reform, then relying on strypped-down to win new development to cultivate newcomers with economy as its prop, also with the support of government that must pay more attention on quality-oriented education, etc.At last, we draw a conclusion that the differences between Fukasawa pendant opera and the others are singing voice of mandarin., the style of spoken parts of Beijing opera, and the unique performance skills with Tuban Zhuiqin, Fukasawa pendant opera give first place to suspense of Continuing Grand opera, which is a folk opera with strong northern characteristic, melting with different sorts of dramas.
