| Content: "Changyuxunyuan", which is about dialect and slang, was written by Zheng Zhihong in the Qing dynasty. Today it provides us extremely precious materials and clues in the study of proverbs. In total, there are 14 chapters and 1,025 definitions of words in the book. Its contents vast, and the dialect slang materials are rich. It provides the written materials for us to go on researching the dialects and the folk customs from which they come. This article is about the study and discussion of its compilation features and academic values.The first part introduce into a book background. Environmental impacts of people. in line with dictionary, culture background and succeeding introductions to the background of era of books to author, so that the study on text presses close to the author's creation reality even more. Secondly examine and correct "Changyuxunyuan" the edition of the book, the research that this text does is criticized of a text, have motivation nature and convincingness even more.The second Part examine the search object and compile style of the book on text style, there are four following character rustics: The tactics of compiling of the accumulating type, the ones that "aim at Finding the source"accept the word principle.
