The art of Drama developed to the peak stage in the Yuan Dynasty,formed a relatively fixed structure of the text, performance model, Institutional role and music concerts system, and withing its deep ideological content,public loved style,laid a solid mass foundation, and became the bright pearl of the Yuan Dynasty even the whole history of popular literature.But,the original art system was gradually disintegrated when developing to the Ming dynasty.Considering the art of the Ming dynasty Drama as the researching topic,and the Yuan Dynasty drama as the object of comparative study,this paper analyzes and summarizes the characteristics of the drama of the Ming Dynasty.The preface briefly reviews the current researches in the academic circles, and then displays the research significance and the points of innovation of this paper.The body has four chapters, analyses from the performance system,music system,institutional role system and so on.Chapter I,briefly summarizes conditions of drama of the ming dynasty,and classifies the drama of the ming dynasty,according to the diffiences as Character, Script structure,Music system,Singing style between the drama of the Yuan and Ming Dynasty.ChapterⅡ,Institutional performance,reflects changing the old system of the Yuan Dynasty drama in the opening screenings,make-up,and other aspects. Firstly,according to the analyses of 37 species of the Ming Dynasty drama with opening style, sum up the opening forms have three condition: non- playing dramatis personae, playing dramatis personae,and without the Opening Character. Also,through the analyses and induction, draw the essence of the Opening Character and the regularity understanding of drama development.Secondly,in Script structure,the drama of theMing dynasty breaks through limitations of"yibensizhe"of the Yuan drama ,and accepts the flexible and free style of the Southern drama.Also,through analyizing the relationship between"zhe"and"chang",furtherly draws the characteristics of"chang"of the Ming dynasty. Thirdly,the study of Dress lies in finishing the category of the Dress,and analysizing it′s characteristics in comparison with drama of the Yuan dynasty.Finally, the papers briefly analysize the rolement of"Makeup"and"QiMo"in plot development. ChapterⅢ,the differences of music system between the Yuan and the Ming drama,embody in singing forms, music concerts both tunes.Firstly,the Ming drama introduced the way of Southern drama Song to Northern Song,breaking the regulation of the Yuan Dynasty—"only one singer ",insteadly,every characteristic of the drama could sing,and there were mang ways of singing such as round singing,duet,choral singing and so on. Free and flexibility singing make it′s perfomance more lively and compact,which closely relates to the praises of the ideological contents. Secondly,there are several condictions such as the tune of Northern Music, Southern Music, the combination of the North and South. Based on the analysis of the several circumstances, summarizes the characteristics of music system of Ming dynasty′s drama.Regardless of which kind of form, all reflects the diversity of characteristics in it′s music system,which utterly different with the drama of the Yuan Dynasty.ChapterⅣ,firstly,through the analyses of the use of color in thirty dramas of the Yuan Dynasty,summarizes the characteristics of color system of Yuan dynasty′s drama, not-using"sheng"and"chou", feet color and play, etc. Comparing with the characteristics of Yuan drama, analysizes the discarding of Ming dynasty drama to Yuan drama system. Thus,draws Ming drama features appear in"fujiao""sheng"and"chongmo",etc. Also,through analyses of the script,let we know that the essence of"chongmo"is "waimo".Thus, we can clear the development track of the character. Furtherly,through analysizing the middle and late drama , analyizes the Character at this period drama appearing three condictions:following with the features of Northern drama Characteristics,like the Southern drama completely,or mixed-use the institutional role system of Northern Song and Southern Drama.Also,this mixing reveals the evolution way of the Characteristic,and perfects the law of the drama.Last part briefly introduces the origin and formation of the drama, and evaluates the gain and loss of inheritance and development of the Ming drama in the art system from the Yuan drama,from the high of the whole art.
