| Biological motion is a concept proposed by Johansson in 1973, refers to the movement produced by all of the animate objects. Under laboratory conditions psychology researchers often compared the task of biological motion and the task of form-detection or coherent motion between two different groups of people. The two groups are normal people and abnormal people. The results show that there is a perception separation when people recognize different tasks. However, this conclusion is based on the comparison between normal people and abnormal people. Meanwhile, the neural mechanisms underlying the perception separation is not clear. Our sdudy wants to solve the two problems above, and we selected two groups of normal--Field Dependence and Field Independence, They have different sensitive to social information. For our research we used biological motion task and the task of form detection. Not only the reaction time is recorded, but also the ERP technology is used. We chose ERP because of ERP technology with high time resolution. The main results are as follows:(1) There is a significant interaction in right temporal region in the 200-250ms.For the group of Field dependence, there is no significant difference between the two tasks, but for the Field Independence group, there is a significant difference. Recognition of biological movement is significantly greater(2) There is a perception separation in Individuals with different cognitive styles. The recognition of biological movement independent of the traditional visual channel.(3)The key brain regions for perception of biological motion is in temporal area.the right temporal area response greater than the left. |
