The Application Of Tie Dye In Modern Fashion Design

Tie dye has a long history and is deeply rooted in people's life. Recently, with people's aesthetic values becoming more personalized, tie dye has become more popular and the use of tie dye to decoration is becoming more famous in the world. The industrial production of tie dye use the chemical dyes which pose pollution to the environment. Therefore, we should use traditional methods to produce tie dye, while incorporated in popular fashion styles. With modern science and technology, printing and dyeing becomes advance, thereby raising awareness of environmental protection, promoting arts development and general well being.Combining the tie-dye experiment, this paper from the perspective of artistic dyeing, introduces us the process of tie-dye as well as the method of knots tying and dyeing; the author extracted elements from the analysis on the tie-dye patterns and innovated the design by applying the computer-aided design system. This Paper collected a large number of cases, from tie dye style clothing and design of the basic form, two analyses of tie dye art in a modern dress, the application and the graduation design process, design complete with digital printing, the stamp printing craft complete the two paragraphs of dress design.The integration of tie dye and allover print explores more approaches to fashion design, satisfies unique personal requests and inspires designers with innovated ideas from which one can also see traces of tradition, and by which tie dye is developing to a optimized direction.?...
