Research On Deaf Freshmen's Adaptation To Colloege

School adjustment means that students successfully complete their study to realize the education purpose of school with their positive adjustment on body and mind during the process of making the interaction with school.Deaf freshmen is a very special group that as disabled people and college freshmen.It is so important to passing the turning period from high school to college to make the adjustment to college life successfully not only for the deaf freshmen's body and mental healthy at present and in adult,but for the social development in future,therefore,the adaptation to college is a significant topic.The subjects in the research are 149 college deaf freshmen sampled from Tianjin University of Technology and Beijing United University, and 154 normal freshmen sampled from Tianjin University of Technology as a compared group. With the tools of The Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire, the overall situation and characteristic of the deaf freshman's adaptation to college is analyzed by spss13.0 and give some advices in school education.The results show that:1,The situation of the deaf freshman's adaptation to college is in the good shape. But in study and life there exist distinct differences between deaf and normal students on college adaptation.2,The deaf college students learning to adapt to adapt to the school, in the single child, the relationship between different families, different boarding times, in different families where different variables are related to the normal university students there were significant differences, indicating the problem is deaf to learn to adapt to Freshmen who meet the main aspects of the school.3,Teachers can improve the capacity of schools to adapt to the deaf college freshmen; Majority of the deaf college freshmen did not get teachers to effectively support and help.
