The Prediction Of 4 Years Old Children's Temperament Activity And Parenting Styles To Problematic Behavior In Children 8 Years Old

Temperament is the foundation of personality development, which is very important to play a fundamental role in person's social development.Activity of temperament is a relatively stable dimension. This study is from a large longitudinal study, preliminary results showed that children aged 3 to 5 activity does not have the age difference. Scholars'research adopted the longitudinal study finds that the individual activities development of children have some stability. Scholars have extensively studied the attitudes and methods of parents rearing, and conclude poor parenting styles is an important factor that bring problematic behavior. Different activity on problematic behavior will also have some effect.Activity of different behavior on the issue will also have some effect.However, the research on The combined effect of problematic behavior between temperament activity and parenting styles are very small, and the research whether the activity temperament and parenting styles can predict problematic behaviors are even less.This study takes longitudinal study based on preliminary studies. The subjects are the 53 tracked subjects,and another 118 new subjects. We evaluate the temperament activity using questionnaires and experiments method in order to study characteristics of the development activity. Parents filled out the "Parenting Style Questionnaire", and fill in the "Sitelilao temperament questionnaire"to assess the activities of the parents temperament. It can study the impact of the matching degree between activities of parents and children on how to select the rearing. Parents fill out the "Child Behavior Checklist" (CBCL), assessed the problem behavior of primary school students ,in order to research the prediction of 4 years old children's temperament activity, parenting styles on 8 year-old pupils problematic behavior.The results are as follows, 1.The development activity has stability in students between 3 ans 9 years old. The overall has declined trend.2.The intergenerational transmission of temperament activity between pupils aged 7 to 9 and their patents would affect the choice of parenting styles.3. For primary students aged 7 to 9,there is no age differences in each dimension except the social withdrawal dimension of primary students problematic behavior,there is no gender difference,too. 4.Child activity temperament in 4 can predict withdrawal behavior problems of primary students.5.For 8 year-old pupils,the laissez-faire and inconsistencies parenting styles can predicte the hyperactivity behavior, and inconsistency parenting styles can predict the aggressive behavior problems.
