Proactive Personality is special for the career and work which is different for the Big Five Personality and it has proven to be beneficial complement to the personality theories. Despite the research on proactive personality in western countries has acquired many results, the research on it in China has a lot to be done。Such as the special career on insurance, and the compare research between this and other careers.For the insurance have to face more frustration and failure, they have to stronger mental state acceptance ability and special personality characteristic in order to competent to this work.they have to regulate their mentality continuously to eliminate the sense of frustration.Therefore, the research on the personality of insurance member to increase the mission success rate in hire, work performance and training, lower demission and liquidity, has important meanings.In the present study, we explore the influence of proactive personality of insurance members to their work performance and frustration on empirical study. The results suggest that:(1)PPS present clear two-dimension, fhighreliabilityandfairvalidity after revising, namely "Initiative" and "Persistent", and Initiative is the first factor.(2)Significant difference of proactive personality between insurance members were found comparing the staff with different educational level, while no significant difference were found in different sex, age, work years and position ranks. However, significant difference of proactive personality in other numerous careers were found with different age, work years and position ranks, but no significant difference were found in different sex, the same as insurance members.(3)Positive correlations were found between "Initiative", Work Frustration and Work performance, while between "Persistent" and Work performance. After controlling the population variables, high relative contribution was found in prediction of "Persistent" for Work performance. We can conclude that "Initiative" can't completely instead of "Proactive" in china culture. They are not the same meanings.(4)High relative contribution was found in prediction of "Initiative" for Work Frustration, while negative prediction validity was found in "Persistent" for Work Frustration. But the Work Frustration of insurance members will be reduced with "Persistent" to strengthen.(5)Remarkable correlation was not found between Work Frustration and Work performanOce. The moderate effect between Proactive Personality and Work performance is not significant.(6)Multiple-Group analysis results suggest that there is significant difference between educational level in prediction of Proactive Personality for Work Frustration and Work performance.
