Peripheral arterial occlusive disease is a kind of commen disease in the department of vascular surgery, arteriosclerosis occurs in the artery of lower extremity, ischemia symptom will happen in the extremity, such as claudication, rest pain or gangrene of the extremity. Rencently, peripheral arterial occlusive disease has became a kind of higher morbidity and mortallity disease. Operation is the first step of medication, the patients need systemic anticoagulation and anti-arterioclerosis cure after opration. And systemic health education will be helpful for the patients. Objective The objective of this research is to explore the mode of health education for the patients of arteriosclerosis obliterans. Methods Totally 434 patients in vascular surgery department of the First Hospital of Jiln University with arteriosclerosis obliterans in lower extremity were assigned to routine health education condition and systemic health education condition randomly, and evaluate the data with statistic method of SSPS 13.0.Result There is no diffence in the common condition between the two groups before operation. The compliance for controlling for high risk factor, systemic anticoagulation and anti-arterioclerosis theropy between the two group is different statistically (χ2=51.615,P<0.001,χ2=22.535,P<0.001,χ2=28.314,P<0.001).The therapeutic effect is analysed for the patency of anterry, rest pain and gangrene or ampution, the statistical data isχ2=4.624,P=0.032,χ2=3.766,P=0.052,χ2= 2.523,P=0.112.Conclusion Systemic health education is better than traditional health education, can improve the compliance and therapeutic effect, and can improve the quality of life for patients.
