Objective: To research the nutritional status and evaluate the effectiveness of Nutritiona1 Risk Screening 2002(NRS2002) in preoperational patients of carcinoma of stomach. Methods: We used NRS2002.NRI.and MNA-SF to assess the nutritional status of 56 preoperational patients of carcinoma of stomach in our hospita1.with albumin as the indicators for assessing the sensitivities, specificities, and positive/negative predictive values of these three tools. Results : The cases of undernutrition by body mass index <18.5kg/m2 and albumin <35g/L were 17 and 16 . In the detection of albumin, the sensitivities of NRS2002,NRI,and MNA-SF were 81.25%,100%,75%,specificities were 85%,70%,35%,positive predictive values were 68.4%,57.1%,31.5%,negative predictive values were 91.9%,100%,77.8%,false positive rates were 15%,30%,65%.There were pertinences between NRS2002,NRI and ALB(P<0.005).NO pertinence was found between MNA-SF and ALB(P>0.005).Conclusions:There were many patients of carcinoma of stomach with undernutrition NRS2002 has high sensitivity and specificity ,lowest false positive rate.It is recommend to perform NRS2002 in patients of carcinoma of stomach.
