Objectives Explore the ESBLs positive rate of isolated strains, analyze the resistance feature to BLAs species antibiotic from E.coli and detect genetype in ESBLs-producing E. coli in Chenzhou region .And to provide evidence for the infections caused by ESBLs producing E.coli, follow the molecular type change in this region and better control this infection. Methods Collect and identify 415 strains of E.coli from a hospital in s Chenzhou region. Kirby-Bauer's detection technique and double disk diffusion test was applied to proof ESBLs produces in these E.coli strains, and Kirby-Bauer's detection technique was used to test the resistance feature to 16 BLAs antibiotics in the 415 strains of E.coli also. The rate of ESBLs producing were compared in different department. The genetypies of ESBLs were analyzed through PCR.Results The rate of ESBLs-producing bacteria was 50.84% in E.coli. The bacteria which produced ESBLs were isolated in a higher degree from abdomen surgery, brain surgery, orthopaedics surgery department. Nearly all of the isolated strains of E.coli were sensitive to Imipenem and Meropenem. The resistance rate to 16 BLAs antibiotics from ESBLs producing strains were higher than that of ESBLs non-producing strains. 63 TEM, 77 SHV and 49 CTX-M gene fragments were found in 211 ESBLs producing strains. There were two or three genotypies in a few strains.Conclusions1. The ESBLs positive rate was in a relative high degree in our area, the distribution is different in different ward, the resistance rate of the strains producing ESBLs to antibiotic is higher than that of the strains of non-producing ESBLs. 2. TEM,SHV and CTX-M are the prevalent genotype of ESBLs in E.coli from Chenzhou region.
