ObjectiveTo observe the effects of Mao Shi and You Shi taking benazepril in patients with chronic renal failure (CRF), and to investigate the best medication time and possibal mechanisms.Methods70 cases, who carried on chronic renal failure in the Renal Medicine Outpatient of the First Hospital in Wuhan City, were selected randomly and divided into two groups:Mao shi group (35cases) and You Shi group (35cases). Mao Shi group and You Shi group added oral benazepril tablets respectively at Mao Shi (5am-7am) and You Shi (5pm-7pm).All groups had been observed for 6 months. Observed the blood pressure and adverse drug reactions in patients during medication, comparing changes in blood pressure before and after treatment. Testing before and after treatment changes in 24-hour urinary protein; Detection of the general biochemical parameters before and after treatment. Testing before and after treatment in patients with blood urea nitrogen (BUN), serum creatinine (Scr), glomerular endogenous creatinine clearance rate (Ccr) Comparison of indicators.Results1.A total of 65 cases accesed to the final statistical analysis, which 32 cases in Mao Shi group and 33 cases in You Shi group, while 5 cases exited.2. Two groups of patients were comparable in age, gender, height, weight, primary disease, etc. There was no significant statistical difference between them(P>0.05)3. Comparison of blood pressure:After treatment, blood pressure of Mao Shi group and You Shi group decreased significantly (P<0.01),while there was no siginificant statistical difference between them (P>0.05)4. Comparison of 24-hour urinary protein:After treatment,24-hour urinary protein of Mao Shi group and You Shi group decreased significantly (P<0.01),and You Shi group was less than Mao Shi group, there was a siginificant statistical difference between them (P<0.05)5. Comparison of the general biochemical parameters:After treatment, the albumin (ALB), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG),kalium (K) of Mao Shi group and You Shi group had no significant statistical (P>0.05).And there was no siginificant statistical difference between them (P>0.05).6. Comparison of BUN, Scr,Ccr:After treatment, the BUN, Scr of Mao Shi group decreased, but the difference was not statistically significant (P> 0.05), Ccr higher than that before treatment, the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). And the BUN, Scr of You Shi group decreased significantly (P<0.05),Ccr increased significantly (P<0.05). Between the two groups after treatment, the BUN, Scr of You Shi group significantly lower than those of Mao Shi group (P<0.05), and Ccr was higher than Mao Shi group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions 1. Benazepril helps to lower the blood pressure and decrease 24-hour urinary protein of CRF. Delaying the progression in patients with chronic renal failure.2. Benazepril shows superior effect at You Shi. The effect of suitable time remains to be esplored further.3. Benazepril has fewer adverse reactions.
