Clinical Observation Of Acupuncture On The Origin And Insertion Of Trapezius In Cervical Spondylosis

Objective:To study the clinical effect about the treatment of cervical spondylosis by the way of the origin and insertion of neck trapezius acupuncture, and make a full exploration of new idea regarding the treatment of cervical spondylosis. While observing the clinical feasibility of this intervention means and then providing the reference data for the treatment of other cervical spondylosis.Method:This study is on the serious foundation of strict diagnostic criteria, inclusion criteria, exclusion criteria and efficacy of assessment criteria, and divide 60 patients with cervical spondylotic randomly into observation group and control group of 30 cases separately. The observation group makes use of acupuncture the origin and insertion of trapezius, the control group is acupuncture the JiaJi point of neck. the By use of the internationally recognized and simplified McGill scale, both group members accept the following detectable assessment before treatment and after a course of treatment:Pain rating index (PRI), visual analog rating method (VAS) and the current pain intensity (PPI) of the score, and use the statistical methods for analysis; In view to the "Syndrome Diagnostic efficacy of standards" issued by State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1993 and make statistic analysis of clinical effect for both groups after one course of treatment.Result:(1) Before treatment, there are no differences about sex, age, severity, and above for two groups(p>0.05).(2) The observation patients' the feeling-PRI, emotion-PRI, Total-PRI, VAS, PPI scores were significantly different by the statistical analysis before and after treatment (p<0.01).(3) The control patients' feel-PRI, emotion-PRI, Total-PRI, VAS, PPI scores were significantly different by the statistical analysis before and after treatment (p<0.01).(4) Observation and control group patients' feeling-PRI, total score-PRI have significant discrepancy after statistical analysis(p<0.01), and no statistic discrepancy in feeling PRI, VAS, PPI scores (p>0.05).(5) Observation group and control group have significant difference in the assessment of clinical curative effect after the course of treatment through the statistical analysis (p<0.01). Conclusion:(1) Origin and insertion of trapezius acupuncture treatment can improve the patients' pain and discomfort such like these clinical symptoms, and has a positive therapeutic effect.(2) Neck Jiaji point acupuncture treatment can improve the patients'pain and discomfort such like these clinical symptoms, and has a positive therapeutic effect.(3) After the origin and insertion of trapezius acupuncture, observation group is better than control group in feeling-PRI, total score-PRI, while in the emotion-PRI, VAS and PPI are no difference between these two groups.(4) The origin and insertion of trapezius acupuncture treatment and neck Jiaji point acupuncture treatment both have a certain curative effect for cervical spondylotic myelopathy, but in clinical curative effect the origin and insertion of trapezius acupuncture treatment is better than neck Jiaji point acupuncture treatment.
