Objective The aim of our study was to detect the incidence of micro-inflammation in maintenance peritoneal dialysis patients, further more to find the properly influence of micro-inflammation to nutrition status, alleosis of cardiac and subsequent survival.another view was to find the associativity between hs-CRP and neutrophilic granulocyte. Methods One hundred and ninteen patients with no apparent inflammation process, tumor, the immunity disease who had been on CAPD between three to twenty-four months were included in the study.Peritoneal equilibration test was used to evaluate PSTR (peritoneal small-solute transport rate). At the next day and three months later to measure the concentration of hs- CRP, The nutrition status was evaluated by albumin, hemoglobin Subjective global assessment (SGA)。the other biochemistry such as PTH,CHO,Fbg,weekly KT/Vure and LAD,LVPWT,IVST and et al were measured at the same time in our laboratory. in terms of the survival curves of patients were generated by the Kaplan-meier method.and proportional hazards regression model for all cause mortality. Results The clinical characteristics of study patients are detailed in table 1-3.44.5% patients are in the status of micro-inflammation. among the sustain peritoneal dialysis patients; There was a significant difference between the two groups regarding prevalence of diabetes and high peritoneal small-solute transport rate (p<0.01); furthermore alb,SGA and hemoglobin levels were obviously lower in the groupl (p<0.05vs group 2) and has been shown to be associated with a lower survival(77.4%-92.3%). above all the incidence of cardiac hypertrophy and deficiency of cardiac function are more popular in the micro-inflammation. and in terms of the clearance of small-solute there is no significantly difference between the two groups; moreover significant correlations were noted between hs-CRP and neutrophilic leukocyte. Conclusion The status of micro-inflammation may induce malnutrition, cardiac hypertrophy and function decrease, liability to infection,in ultimate mortality are increased; among these markers age, diabetes mellitus, low level Alb are the risk factors, where SGA is conservation factors; At the same time we found hs-CRP and neutrophilic leukocyte have strong correlation so we should pay attention to the variety of neutrophilic leukocyte in our work.
