Background:Acute cholecystitis is a common disease in clinic, and easily induces acute pancreatitis. Sphincter of oddi disfuction can cause acute pancreatitis, However it is not clear how sphincter of oddi's function changes in acute cholecystitis.[Objective] To investigate how sphincter of oddi's function and morphology change in acute cholecystitis.[Methods] Twenty england short-hair guinea pigs were randomly divided into two groups. Contrast group(Group A,n=10)was normal contast and were detected for myoelectronic activity of the sphincter of oddi by subserosal contacted electrode and bile duct pressure by 4/25 power transfoming system in the operation. Acute cholecystitis group(Group B,n=10) were induced by injection of Escherichia coli and gall-stone suspension into the cholecyst in the operation. activity of the sphincter of oddi and bile duct pressure were measured as contrast group after feeding ten days. sphincter of oddi and pathology changes was observed separately for actin and myosin by using immunohistochemical quantitative analysis and by using light microscope.[Results] Spike potentials of SO(SPSO), myoelectronic activity of SO(MASO), SO basal pressure(SOBP), SO contractile amplitude(SOCA) and Sphincter of oddi contractile frequency(SOCF) in group B were significantly more increase than that in group A (P<0.01); There were no significant differences in actin and myosin between group A and group B(p>0.05). The pathologicalhistory of sphincter of oddi in group B was changed obviously compared with gorp A.[Conclusion] Spike potentials of SO(SPSO), myoelectronic activity of SO(MASO), SO basal pressure(SOBP), SO contractile amplitude(SOCA), bile duct pressure and Sphincter of oddi contractile frequency(SOCF) was obviously abnormal, The pathologicalhistory of sphincter of oddi changed obviously in acute cholecystitis.
