Biomedical engineering has only recently emerged as its own discipline that integrates theories and methods of Engineering, Biology and Medicine. It is a highly interdisciplinary field. Its target is to study the state changes of human body system from a variety of aspects. At the meantime, it controls the change by using engineering and technical means. The purpose of Biomedical Engineering is to resolve issues related to medicine, to protect human health, to precent from disease, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. It has a lot of subdiscipline, such as modeling and simulation of biological systems, biomedical signal detection and analysis, biomedical imaging and image processing, biological effects of electromagnetic fields, artificial organs, as well as related research and development of medical devices. This article focuses on two important aspects, one is biological systems modeling and simulation, the other is biological effects of electromagnetic fields for research. It contains the following two parts:Partâ… :Use various clustering methods based on human soft tissue tumor cell sample data, and compare with the experimental results so as to find the best clustering approach to establish the molecular model of MAPK/Erk signaling pathway. Partâ…¡:The main element of this part is to explore the finite-difference time-domain applications. We use XFDTD to simulate electromagnetic radiation of butterfly microstrip antenna. And estimate human biological effects of the antenna. It is the specific absorption rate.
