Objective To analyse the imageology feature of the mediastinal and central pulmonary vascular involvement from central lung cancer(CLC)by spiral CT, and in order to approach the dependability with pathology and the clinical value. Method To assemble 101 CLC cases confirmed by pathology or operation, the contrast scan were done in all of the cases, combined the routine transaction CT images and postprocessing images, to analyse the imageology feature of the CLC invade the vascular. Result There are three signs of central pulmonary artery involvement from CLC. A : hand-grasping-ball sign, B :withered-branch sign, C :truncated root sign, the different pathological types have different CT feature. The contrast of the sign in the different pathological type CLC encroach on the pulmonary veins is not have statistical significance (P>0.05). Superior vena cava be encroached upon SCLC usually, and the degree of obstruction is serious. Conclusion The spiral CT contrast scan and the image postprocessing technique can display the anatomical feature of the mediastinal and central pulmonary vascular and the vacuity adjoin reference with tumeur, to judge the imageology feature of vascular involvement from tumour objectively, thus to supply the clinic with objective basis of making the therapeutic regimen of CLC.
