| Objective:To evaluate biocompatibility and the biological security properties of the TiO2-Ag-Nano-hydroxyapatite/polyamide66 composite. Methods: The TiO2-Ag-nHA were subjected to acute whole body toxity test, intramuscular implanting experiment, intrabony implanting experiment, hemolytic test, endodermal test and micronucleus test of polychromatic erythocytes in mouse bone marrow。Results: After intra-abdominal injection of soaked solution of material, there were no changes in breath, appetite, body weight of mice and no death。In intramuscular implanting experiment ,there were no obvious changes in general ,biochemical index and so on,comparing between the treatment and the control group at different period(P>0.05),and pathologic tissue sction showed the peripheral packed tissue of materials. The inflammation changes in keeping with the general regularity of inflammatory reaction. In intrabony implanting experiment, there was new bone ,which surrounded the materias. The rate of hemolysis to different concentration diffusion solution was under the standardcriteria(5%).After the diffusion solution was injected into the back of animal, the PII was measured from 0 to 0.4 ,and there was no the stimulation reaction according to the criteria. The rates of PCE micronucleus cells induced by 3 dosages were not significantlty different ,while comparing with that of negative control group(P>0.05),mutagenic effect on mouse bone marrow was not observed. Conclusion: TiO2-Ag-nHA /PA66 composite for bone repair and reconstruction has good biocompatibility and security. |
